Dear Cal Theatre,
While I am unaware of the validity of the situation, many students within the PennWest California Theatre Program have expressed a displeasure with the supposed new plan regarding the removal of our Fall Play. In order to get this message of interest across to our faculty in the most straightforward way, I'd like for everyone interested in keeping our Fall Play to sign this petition, to show that these plays are valued productions that Cal Theatre students are interested in participating in, and learning from, and growing from as performers, technicians, and designers.
Dear Faculty,
Please don't take this as an attack on your decision. I understand that there may be extraneous reasons for this, but regardless, I wanted to show that the student body of the program still has interest in our Fall Play.

Although I haven’t been able to participate in another production other than the first year show, many people in the community love our shows. The plays also give great opportunities for other classes inside and outside the theater program to give extra credit/bonus opportunities for students who need it and it also helps gets the play out to the target audience. I would’ve auditioned for another play since I am shy auditioning for musicals. I am sadly taking a semester off but I think it’s still important to keep the plays. I have a friend who was intrested in doing more plays with the theater since he doesn’t sing. Taking the plays away would not give him a chance to experience more theater since he’s only done 1 showing his in lifetime.

The fall play is the only chance some of us get to be on stage before graduation. Please rethink this!!
