The reputation of OperaGold has stretched beyond the college to more prominent companies and as well as being an obvious asset to the university's vocal faculty, it is a thoroughly enjoyable project that allows students across all levels to interact with each other and gain experience in stagecraft and acting.
We look forward to meeting with the music department in order to present our ideas as to how best to safeguard the future of OperaGold.

The music department has acknowledged receipt of our formal request for a meeting. We are currently organizing the feedback provided by students to ensure our presentation effectively highlights the value of this program.

This program brings everyone together. Dont take away the one thing that actually makes the vocal faculty stand out.
OperaGold was the best part of my degree. Cant believe they would even think about cutting it. Total shame.
so many memories from these productions. music department really needs to rethink this decision.
KEEP IT RUNNING. This is the only practical experience half these kids get before graduating. Its vital.
students deserve a say in this. its our experience on the line here not the professors.

Such a joke. Why cut the good stuff?
