TfGM have just announced cuts to bus routes around the city. The 252 Partington - Sale has been running for years and is relied upon by many residents for work, shopping, education etc. Unlike other areas which have trams, trains and multiple bus services, Partington is an isolated community and many people are fully reliant upon these services. Transport for Greater Manchester, we need more transport, not less. Please reconsider your decision to axe this service.

I am gathering stories from residents who rely on the 252 to reach their jobs and schools every single day. Call the TfGM customer service line this morning to tell them how this cut isolates our community. Keep posting this link to your local community Facebook groups so our neighbors know what is at stake.

I use this bus early in morning to get my children to school and to sale and my family it's bad enough can't get bus on a Sunday to sale where all my family live and now u want to stop it so unfair
I work in Sale at night and get the 5:19pm bus from Addison Road / Manchester Road bus stop in Carrington if you took that bus off I wouldn't be able to go to work.
Alot of partington elderly use that bus as a direct route to areas they feel safe shopping in! To take it away shows you have no thought to the safety and welfare of others!
we the people of partington need this bus service to sale . we rely on it I for 1 can not drive due to having strokes so I need to use this bus to travel into sale
I have just had to turn down work in sale due to the transport cuts. One bus every hour is not acceptable for commuters. The 252 is a valuable service to workers coming from partington
The bus service should not be axed. Partington has a poor bus service as it is. We need more buses not less. Thankfully I drive but what about the ones that dont? We need better transport services like maybe the metrolink running between altrincham and eccles through Partington? I think that was mentioned once.
The 252 is a necessity please dont axe it

I'm from p/ton. Move out a few years back with work. Cannot believe that you would ever consider transport cuts to p/ton. You need more access! Having lived elsewhere and seen other areas- I see clearly how poorly pton is treated transport wise and someone needs to say enough. You are isolating a community.
