Save Sylmar!!! Los Angeles County want to lease the Sylmar Armory and turn it into a 24hr. shelter. Sylmar has seen an increase in the homelessness population and crimes. The service center WILL attract more transients and it WILL over flow on to town streets (e.g. Skid Row). Tent town's will be even more prevalent in alleys and freeway exits. The Sylmar Neighborhood has decided to support the center despite the added risks to our neighborhood. This center will no doubt overtime decrease Property Values and increase the danger of city streets. These funds can be used to service already existing centers through LA. By Signing this Petition you are letting the Sylmar Neighborhood Council know Residents of Sylmar do not support the proposed site.
