Please sign this petition to let our representatives know that you do not approve of a large 50 bed facility in the North Beach neighborhood. The area selected is within close proximity to several residential neighborhoods, Bonita Canyon Park and more importantly, the Boys and Girls Club which serves as a safe haven for our community's children.
A facility of this size will serve as a beacon for homeless throughout Southern CA and will add pressure to the current infrastructure that serves those in need.
Ask your representatives to "lessen the impact" and choose smaller facilities for this state mandated bill.
The city will vote on this agenda item on July 15th. Please sign this petition today.

The increase in public interest regarding the North Beach facility proposal has been significant. This momentum indicates that our community remains deeply concerned about the proposed location of this shelter. We will carry this collective energy into our upcoming meetings with city representatives.

Too close to the park and club. find somewhere else not right in the middle of our homes.
50 beds is way too many for this area. think about the safety of the children first!
This is a terrible idea for our neighborhood. Look at the schools and the parks around here. Why would they put this right next to where our kids play?
This is just gonna bring more issues to our streets. totally against this plan.
Put it industrially or somewhere else. North beach is residential for a reason.

NO WAY. My property values will tank and my kids wont be safe walking to the club anymore. stop this.
