Michener Centre has served as an institution for individuals living with developmental disabilities since 1923. Residents were promised in 2008 that they would never have to move out and could enjoy the rest of their life in peace while at Michener. This closure is unacceptable, we need to stand up for individuals who can not stand up for themselves, it is our duty, as a society, to voice our opinion of this foolish act. Michener staff provides exceptional care that will not be matched if the residents are moved throughout the province. Lets save their home because frankly, its just the right thing to do.
