Save Garth Olwg Residential Care Home!
Garth Olwg is an excellent facility which has served the community since 1966. This home is a lifeline for the very vulnerable elderly residents who are no longer able to manage in their own homes. Relocating the residents of Garth Olwg will have a very negative impact on the most vulnerable members of our community and also to the 42 dedicated members of staff who have given excellent care and total commitment to them. To remove the residents away from their current home is unfair and cruel.

Save Garth Owlg. Absolute staple of the community. It would be an absolute shame if RCT took this amazing home away from the local community to ship those people where? further away from their families and friends and the place they know
My nan was so lovingly looked after in Garth Olwg! The staff are all fantastic! They now provide a high standard of care to another family member who has thrived since becoming a resident!! Would be a great loss to both residents and staff alike!!!
This care home is an essential part of our community and has been for years. The care provided to the residents is exceptional. There’s always a long waiting list for residency which shows the home is desperately needed.
My Great nan lived here and had amazing care. We can not let these independent living complexes take over this home. Many elderly cant cope with change or learning to become independant again.Garth Olwg is a wonderful home with exceptional caring staff and managers.
Closing this care home is unthinkable. there is a distinct lack of available care spaces in our area as it is. I urge the council to take into account the extremely adverse implications of closing Garth Olwg when undertaking the consultation. Closing Garth Olwg will be a travesty

Visiting this lovely home 17 years ago as a student nurse was over whelming.all the residents were so happy and the staff treat them like gold.How dare anyone try and close such a place.Disgusting!!!This place is highly valued by all and closing it would be absolutley diabolical!!!!
