Earl Schrader was fired as Avalon's head football coach. The school said the relationship was no longer workable, primarily due to hearsay~ things that others said he said about the school and the admin. It seems a shame to throw away 20 years of dedication to the youth of this community on something that could have been handled in a different way - with truth and transparency. As for football, Earl has always insisted on trust, brotherhood, family and accountability. The program has had little to do with football but everything to do with helping to develop young men and give them a chance to succeed in this changing world.
