Save Dean and Deluca
The city of Charlotte is experiencing an unprecedented event regarding one our beloved restaurants: all Dean and Deluca locations have closed. While some may see this as a minute problem, the people of Charlotte see differently. Dean and Deluca has been in Charlotte since 1997, creating a space for people to meet their friends for lunch, dinner, or just to grab a coffee, tea, and gourmet treat. The iconic Phillips Place store closed unexpectedly the week of April 4th, after rumors surfaced saying the rent hadn't been paid. We had the two other store locations, one on S. Tryon, and the other in Stonecrest to rely on, however, those two locations have closed as well. Not only has this affected the customers, but the employees as well. Out of a job, they have to go search for a new one on such short notice. Many employees had been with Dean and Deluca since it's opening, committing their time to making it the best experience for customers. Dean and Deluca has been in our city for 20 years and we want it back.
