With today's government youth grants are being cut! Please sign this to show your support and to show the Premier that youth organizations such as the James Hornell Boys And Girls Club are important. Also, to provide information regarding our funding that should not be reduced in any way.

Updates

December 2, 2016

The momentum behind this campaign proves that our community refuses to let these vital youth programs vanish. Post this link on your Facebook page right now to ensure the Premier sees this surge of opposition. Text three friends and tell them to sign before the next budget review.

We were living there in the 70- early 80's. The boys and girls club, swimming pool and the arena were available to my kids. Now the boys and girls club is the only thing left . Please don't take this away from the Buchans youth.

The JHBGC has been a great place to go for us and our children for many years. It's a shame that the government don't see the value it adds to a child's life - a safe place where they learn skills through the many programs they offer that stay with them for a lifetime.

Please do not cut funding for Boys and Girls Clubs in NL. That is what will put more kids out in the streets with nothing to do in the communities. This is what helps steer them in the wrong direction like drinking and drugs! Isn't this what we are trying to avoid? Put the money where it needs to go!

I spent many days at the Boys & Girls club. It was great to be able to go to s place and learn different crafts , learn how to play different games aswell as being able to socialize with your peers. This would be so sad to take this away from a small town who has not much to do .

I grew up in Buchans and went to the JHBGC everyday. It allows us to develop so many skills. As Guidance Counsellor today and many challenges our youth face, more places like these are needed not taken away! We talk about trying to provide programs to help with mental health issues, places like the boys and girls club fit this bill!

The James Hornell Boys and Girls Club is one of the main hubs for our kids to go to when not in school. They do greatthings for our community, not just for the children but for adults as well. Without funding from grants, they would not be able to operate! Our small town and surrounding towns need them.

The JAmes Hornell Boys and Girls Club has been and still is a very important place for the youth of Buchans. It is a facility that is used very much by the people of Buchans.
