Petition to Save Critical Services for At-Risk Youth and Families
We are raising our voices today because our youth, families, and community cannot afford to lose the support provided by New Hope for Youth.
For many young people, this organization is more than a program. It is a safe place. A mentor. A listening ear. A second chance. A lifeline. A family.
Every day, New Hope for Youth works with youth facing challenges many people never see — trauma, violence, poverty, mental health struggles, family instability, academic difficulties, and hopelessness. Instead of giving up on these young people, this organization has chosen to stand beside them with compassion, guidance, accountability, and love.
Families who felt alone found support.
Youth who were struggling found hope.
Communities who felt unseen found people who believed in them.
Now, because of lost school contracts and the potential loss of county funding, these life-changing services are in danger of disappearing.
If this organization closes its doors or is forced to reduce services, the impact will not only be felt by the youth and families directly involved — it will affect our entire community.
When support systems disappear:
- Vulnerable youth will fall through the cracks
- Families lose trusted advocates
- Prevention programs vanish
- Crises increase
- Communities suffer
We cannot continue saying our youth matter while removing the very resources helping them survive and succeed.
Investing in at-risk youth is not a burden — it is a responsibility. It is prevention. It is healing. It is community.
We are calling on school leaders, county officials, community partners, and decision-makers to:
- Restore and protect funding for New Hope for Youth
- Reconsider the loss of school partnerships and contracts
- Prioritize prevention, mentorship, and family support services
- Stand with the youth and families who rely on these programs every single day
The young people in our community deserve more than promises. They deserve action.

These Men have lived experience who have changed there lives and it would be a great shame to not have them helping our at risk youth and a loss for the community if we lose this vital help we so very need.
New hope is amazing, New hope helped me find my first job, get onto the right track, and be a better man. I don't know what id be doing know without the guidance of my new hope mentors. Im forever thankful for New Hope for Youth.
I remember alex she had pulled up to my house during freshman year and had dropped off food for me and my family, she is apart of the new hope community and also Mario had brought us pizza during my freshman year of hs. They really meant a lot to me and they should continue meaning a lot to other people
New hope for youth has helped me keep going to school they encourage to keep coming and was there when I was at my lowest. New hope is helping lots of students like me keep going to school and I know that I have some that I can talk to and they can relate/give me advice.
The reason I am signing this petition is because people like Hugo have to helped my family whenever In need. During Covid, we struggled with having food on our table, but Hugo made it possible to feed 6kids and not only feed but connect with us aswell .
I am signing this petition because New Hope For youth has been such a positive program for my son. Helping him stay out of trouble and taking him to trips to keep him busy. This is an awesome program for our troubled youth and it will be a shame for our kids future if this program is discontinued. Please keep it going it has helped my family so much🙏
Please consider salvaging this program and securing funding new hope for youth is an important community resource that provide community based advocacy services for young persons at risk of gang involvement and criminal justice system they provide beneficial preventive services

New Hope For Youth has helped not one but 2 of my sons stay off the streets and away from gangs and trouble they have been a light for the boys during some of our darkest times and we support New Hope For Youth STAYING STRONG FOR YOUTH!!!
