The JAmes Hornell Boys and Girls Club has been and still is a very important place for the youth of Buchans. It is a facility that is used very much by the people of Buchans.

The Boy & Girls Club is very crucial to our town& to the youth of our community. This organization has helped many youth in our town over the years.When my kids were the youth of our town they spent many hours at this Club learning how to do crafts & painting among many other thing.One of witch was how to respect each other & there elders. I know first hand how important this Club is to our town becaused I was a volunteer there when my kids were going there. So I hope this petition helps save the club. Wish I could be there to attend Sundays rally but I left Wed for tbe winter. GOOD LUCK with you fight Garry.

We were living there in the 70- early 80's. The boys and girls club, swimming pool and the arena were available to my kids. Now the boys and girls club is the only thing left . Please don't take this away from the Buchans youth.

I was fortunate enough to have access to the Boys and Girls Club while growing up in Buchans. All kids deserve to be as fortunate!

The JHBGC has been a great place to go for us and our children for many years. It's a shame that the government don't see the value it adds to a child's life - a safe place where they learn skills through the many programs they offer that stay with them for a lifetime.

Please do not cut funding for Boys and Girls Clubs in NL. That is what will put more kids out in the streets with nothing to do in the communities. This is what helps steer them in the wrong direction like drinking and drugs! Isn't this what we are trying to avoid? Put the money where it needs to go!

I spent many days at the Boys & Girls club. It was great to be able to go to s place and learn different crafts , learn how to play different games aswell as being able to socialize with your peers. This would be so sad to take this away from a small town who has not much to do .

The Boys and Girls club in Buchans was founded by James Hornell over 50 yrs. ago.It has helped hundreds of boys and girls over that period of time and here is our Gov. trying to detroy it . Shame on them !!!!!

The James Hornell Boys and Girls Club is a very important part of the town of Buchans. It provides a place where children ages up to eighteen can meet to hang out and participate in programs together, giving them a great sense of community. Adding in the family night which they hold regularly, it becomes a very social time for the whole family. Every occasion throughout the year becomes an extra special occasion because the executive director and staff ensure that the club is decorated and inviting to all. They need the full funding received from the GTYO and more!

Boys & Girls has been the heart of little home town for many many years! Youth need a place to socialize in a positive and safe environment. Please don't cut funding - they are our future and need a good foundation to start and that is what is provided at this place!

I grew up in Buchans and went to the JHBGC everyday. It allows us to develop so many skills. As Guidance Counsellor today and many challenges our youth face, more places like these are needed not taken away! We talk about trying to provide programs to help with mental health issues, places like the boys and girls club fit this bill!
