Ulster Bank has confirmed it will retain the Clones branch following our formal review process. I have submitted our final feedback to the regional board to ensure this decision remains permanent. Thank you for providing the leverage needed to secure this outcome.

On the 21st of November 2014 Ulster-bank headquarters announced that 14 branches would be closed as of 2015, one of these is the clones town branch.

WE DO NOT WANT OUR BRANCH CLOSED!!

Please sign this petition to save our branch

Ulster Bank branches in the region are to close with effect from March next year. Branches in Clones and Castleblayney in Co Monaghan and in Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim, are among 14 branches to close early next year, as announced by the bank last Friday.
They follow other closures in the region in recent years after the bank shut branches in Belturbet, Killeshandra, Kilnaleck, a part-time operation in Swanlinbar, a branch in Castlepollard and, most recently, in Granard, Co Longford. The closure of the Manorhamilton branch means the bank will no longer have a presence in County Leitrim.
The latest closures will see the bank’s presence fall to just 15 branches across the three Ulster counties in the Republic. - See more at: http://www.anglocelt.ie/news/roundup/articles/2014/11/25/4034107-clones-amongst-three-ulster-bank-branches-to-close-locally/#sthash.3C2CBHDA.dpuf

It is imperative that rural towns are not deprived of a Banking service. People in these towns were equally generous in bailing out Banks as Dublin 4 people were since 2007. Now this is our reward???????

We are business owners in the North just outside Clones and becase a lot of our customers are southern we would use the Ulste Bank in clones and have done so for over 20yrs. It will have a devastating affect on the town of clones itself and other business's based in the North that use the Bank for daily services.

My 84 year old has always banked with Ulster Bank as had my father it is essential that banking services are maintained in Clones to help the community thrive and prosper

Closure would be a massive loss to clones town & to neighbouring town lands/northern villages. I for one will be forced to change to bank of Ireland due to there being a branch in the town.

Save the Ulster Bank, It'll only end up as another listed building waiting to rot. People can't afford a round trip to Monaghan just to go to the bank!! Online banking does not suit everyone.
