The Mayor and the Beach Committee cannot ignore this surge of support anymore. Their refusal to maintain the South End pool is a disgrace and this momentum proves they are finally running out of excuses.

Please keep ... my mom grew up swimming/taking lessons at south end Our entire family enjoys this pool !!
Please keep the lockers the way they are and refurbish them. Reinforce the outside walls if necessary. Update the bathroom.
Keep the salt water pool.

I just found this petition; a year after it was started but wanted to add a comment. The pool is a town treasure and any renovation should preserve its historical elements. The activity pool in the current design is unneeded, changes the character of the complex, and will add more than a million dollars to the cost. It should be eliminated.
