We are against the proposed change and request that no further changes be enacted by school committee members without community and alumni approval.

Class of 2011 graduate! I was one of the very few multi-team varsity managers at WHS, proudly serving the Football, Basketball, and Baseball teams during my tenure. If the Raider goes so does thousands of 4 year high school memories. Save the Raider!!
The Indian mascot was a tribute to the tribe that inhabited Watertown, it has been the Pride of many classes that has roamed & Graduated from our High School and thus this Honored tradition should remain.
My husband had the Red Raider as mascot as well as his grandmother did also. My Daughter will be going to High School in September 2015 and I would like her to have the same mascot her family has had.
My family starting with my dad and my children and now a grandchild went to Wstertown schools with the raider symbol. I also taught 28 years in the Watertown school system with the raider symbol. Long standing traditions should not be changed!
I am in favor of keeping the logo. However, if they feel it needs to be updated, there is a great drawing done by Chris Koufos that should be nominated to take the place of the long loved dancing Native.

Save the raider it's not offensive whe had native Americans in our school and they proudly wore the shirts displaying the logo it didn't bother them or their parents cheering them on at games class of 91
