Stop wasting time debating a logo and address a real issue - the firefighters contract.

The recent controversy clearly reflects that the overwhelming majority of WHS Alumni, as well as current WHS Students, don’t want to see our beloved Raider vanish. The Town of Watertown was settled by the Pequossette and Nonantum tribes. We were Pequossette before we were Watertown. Our forefathers felt it was important to reflect this on the Town Seal. Let’s not let the heritage of the Pequossette People vanish or be diminished by trying to be politically correct when, in this instance, should not be an issue. Our Raider represents determination and strength with honor and integrity.

I grew up in Watertown and never found the name offensive. What bothers me is that instead of listening to the many, the few who are offended by everything get the most attention. It's time to stop. Keep the original name.

Seems to me that we're listening to a minority of people who have not even spoken to the Native American community. Save the Raider!
