I am truly overwhelmed by the momentum we have built together lately. This movement has grown far beyond what I ever imagined because you chose to care about the future of the Oaks Castle.

even though there doesn't seem to be huge support for the arts currently in JC. One day, if this is gone, people will regret not taking action.
It would be a shame if the Citizens of JC allowed this home to be torn down for future Commercial development. It is an iconic JC home, and I applaud Ms. Cornett's efforts to save it.
Structures like these are becoming harder and harder to find. Save our history, not only for us but for future generations.
As an MFA student at ETSU, this space would give me a location to show my work and the opportunity to pull context in my work from the historic setting.
We need to have beautiful and historic places in our town. Keep it, fix it up and use it for something special, like an Arts Center, instead of spending $20 million on a new one with no historic value at all!!
Please save this beautiful structure.
