The historic Eastern Star Home in Arlington, TX was originally built in 1924 as a home for members of the Eastern Star Organization of Texas and is an important part of Arlington's history. However, attempts to certify it as a historic property over the years have been unsuccessful and it is in danger of being demolished. The demolition order comes up for review again on November 6th, 2012 by the Arlington City Council. GET THE WORD OUT!
What is needed is a plan for creative re-use of the building. The structure sets on 28 acres that the seller does not want to parcel out. We do not know what the potential buyers have in mind for the property, so we need to come up with a few alternate, creative, economically sound and marketable plans to re-use this grand old structure. Spread the word. The more people that know about the situation the better the chances of a buyer that will come forward to help.

i grew up right down the street. way too much history in those walls to just bulldoze it.
arlington council listen up. hands off our landmarks.
my grandma lived there. do not let them tear it down for more parking lots.
