Preserve Mount Dora’s Charm by protecting our beautiful oak trees and historic past.
Citizens for Historic Mount Dora, in an effort to preserve
and protect Mount Dora’s trees and landmarks, have created this petition. We believe Mount Dora’s heritage is a public
possession, but our treasured oak trees and historical structures are at risk.
Historical landmarks currently considered for architectural conversions or irreversible
modifications, include the 1928 Sears
and Roebuck house on the corner of W 4th Av and Alexander St. and
our beautiful wooden railroad bridge crossing over Tremain…a Mount Dora
landmark for over a hundred years!
Please add your signature to this petition if you agree that Mount Dora's city government
should protect our grand oak trees and preserve the original design and presence of our historic structures,
including our unique train trestle and Sears Roebuck house.
