In 2003, a new mascot was purchased for the North Ridgeville High School football field; a statue of our very own Ranger upon his trusty steed! It has stood within the stadium now for fourteen years and has been a part of the district's history. Now, as new facilities are set to open for the 2017-2018 school year and the old stadium is set to be demolished, there are currently no known plans to relocate this historic statue to a new location within the district. It is widely believed that our mascot should be preserved and be placed somewhere within the district, preferably around the high school/new building grounds, as a part of our history and tradition. Please add your name to the petition, to be submitted to the North Ridgeville City Schools Board of Education, if you agree that keeping our history and traditions alive is a valuable endeavor! Thank you for your time and consideration!
Note as of 6-8-2017: Absolutely NO donations are being asked for in this project. Rumor has it that we are asking for money. We are not. We are just looking to provide a unified voice to preserve a historical landmark!

I'm a 1981 graduate of NRHS. That mascot is part of our history and should be relocated and preserved. Please save it! Thank you.
The ranger should be put at the new field or in front of the new school and high school. I'm 51 and went thru all my school years in ridgeville so did my older siblings. The ranger is a piece of history of ranger sports and needs to be SAVED !!! Stop being like everyone else and deleting our history...
SAVE our Mascot! Too much of our history, traditions, beauty and charms have already been destroyed, just in the last 20 years, in the name of progress. Please, incorporate a part of history with the future, place our mascot on the new school grounds. Give our alumni’s something to come home to. Thank you. ~Class of ‘87
Absolutely keep this. It should be put on the corner near the rock, next to the newer section of the high school so it can be seen walking into the stadium near the ticket booth.
I graduated NR high school and the statue symbols NR hardwork and dedication like a shinning armour. I feel that it shoud be placed in front of the new high school to show who North Ridgeville is!

I am a huge fan of tradition. Children growing up need to feel a connection to those who came before them. The statue is a familiar sight to thousands of people, who cherish it as a symbol of their community.
