The council just confirmed the No. 16 service is being saved. My neighbors who rely on this bus for doctor visits and school runs can finally breathe a sigh of relief. I am keeping a close eye on the upcoming schedules to ensure this promise holds firm.

Final supporters
A new service no.5 is planned but this will not serve Donnington Bridge or Florence Park which will mean elderly residents not getting to doctors, children not getting to school and people not being able to see there families.
This petition has four aims
1.To demonstrate to Oxford Bus Company, Stagecoach and Oxfordshire County Council, the public and community support to reinstate the no.16 service to its current format when changes commence.
2.We call on Oxfordshire County Council to recognise our community needs a decent service , that will support the whole community.
3.To ensure that Littlemore Parish Council helps and supports the need of residents and push for changes to be dropped.
4.To ensure local city and Country councillors act and challenge this move.
Our service must be protected and we must stand together to challenge these decisions.

I have spent this week walking through Florence Park to talk with neighbors who rely on this route for their daily doctor appointments. The stories I hear about the isolation this change will cause are heartbreaking and prove that the council is ignoring the people who actually use this service everyday.

Seeing this level of support reminds me that our neighbors rely on this bus for the simple things like reaching a doctor or visiting family. This momentum shows the city planners that we will not let them cut off our community.

Please save the No 16 as I use it 2 or 3 times a week for shopping see my daughter and sometimes going to the dentist and the vets. I know many elderly people who use this bus.
We need this bus service.. we are out of the way in Littlemore.. the community is full of Elderly that relies on this service.. it’s a main root to shops and doctors.. and the only transport they can Rely on .. if you take it away.. They are all stranded
This route links me from Florence Park to Hinksey pool and Abingdon Road Services south to Abingdon and Didcot and North on the 300 bus. It cuts down my car use a huge amount.
Please continue the 16 bus service to ensure all the elderly and venerable people get to the doctors and shops . This service is also used regularly for care workers at isis care home
Again it seems Littlemore and minchery farm are the forgotten part of oxford, cut us of from surrounding areas because of the LTNS now we won't have a proper bus service so feel even more isolated.
I use this bus often to go to Iffley Road, Magdalen Road and Cowley Centre from Abingdon Road, & hope you can replace it.
Bus services are already subsidized in Oxford and are often taken off route. Make the companies contribute to the communities they make their already large profits from.

This route is essential, connecting the Abingdon Road, South Oxford area to Cowley Centre and Minchery Farm. Taking two buses each way is too expensive Ann's time consuming.
