The city council officially reversed their decision to close the ramp this morning. We are currently finalizing the agreement to ensure the facility remains accessible for all private owners. Keep an eye on the local marine board meetings to verify the new maintenance schedule remains consistent.

I Own a boat that has to be accessed at least once a week. With no access I would not be able to maintain required maintenance to keep the boat in USCG acceptance rules. There are over 1,000 boats at the Seabrook Shipyard which all require access. Regards, Keith Scoles
We use this ramp for the annual Texas Outlaw Poker Run, please help keep it open as it’s the only ramp large enough to handle our bigger boats that come from out of town!!
Please keep the boat ramp open!! It is heavily used gor wednesday night racing on clear lake. We'd hate to lose participation because folks cant get their boats in the water.
These boats ramps are important to Sportsmen and women, to businesses, to the local economy, and the safety of the area. If a First Responder boat cannot be launched, then people are at the mercy of a "in the water boat", if one is available. We have the third largest concentration of boats in the U.S. And TxDot is taking two of them away, this is ALL WRONG.
I have been using this boat ramp for years due to the fact that is the only one that has the appropriate depth on the lake. It is also the only boat launch that has proper protection for my boat when launching it. Losing this boat ramp will significantly hurt the boating community in our area
These two boat ramps are the only quality boat ramps available to this boating community that can handle the high boat traffic.
The ramp needs to be open for the Texas Outlaw Challenge in June.

This is a great asset to Kemah and it would harm the community to lose it. I know I would think twice about bringing my boat to Kemah (and my money) if there wasn't this reliable safe place to launch.
