The St. John's Jesuit Battle of the Bands has been set to occur on January 24 for more than 6 months. This date accommodates for the free space in the schedules of many people. Those who had prior altercations have taken care of them, for example, by calling off work. However, recently (as of 6 days before the scheduled event), students were abruptly notified that the date would have to be pushed back indefinitely for very little reason. Chaperons and police were both planned to be present and there are no scheduling conflicts. This, reasonably, has upset the bands, goers, and planners behind the event.

However, we believe that with enough support, we can keep the event on the same day. Don't allow the student arts to be shafted like it usually is. Stand up for local artists and fans alike!
