We, the undersigned, believe that More Like The Movies should be allowed to play at Big Lake High School's 2009 reward day. Reward day is supposed to be a day where the students are rewarded for their hard work during the year. We feel that our opinion about what we'd like to see there should be seriously considered. Having this band playing for us would make the day very enjoyable. They were a huge hit at this year's benefit concert and they'd be a huge hit at reward day. We don't believe that the idea should immediately be shot down because the band members aren't from our high school. This isn't just some garage band that we'd like to see. They are a touring, professional band who will perform for very little payment or none at all if they're able to sell shirts during the day. Even though, in the past, it's always been a student-only event, we don't feel that it should be kept that way. There hasn't been the chance for a touring band to play before and we think that this opportunity should be taken advantage of. If we always keep everything the same because it's how they used to be done, we can miss out on a lot. We don't only want this change for More Like The Movies. We would like the opportunity to have other bands from different towns to be able to play if they are touring bands. Also, we feel that a band with a majority of members from BLHS should be allowed to play and have the full band there.
