Please help us save the old cotton farm in sinfin derby. The farm has so much history and was featured in the domesday book. Would be a great asset to the community and preserving our heritage.

I really thought this might just stay as a little idea in my head but look at how many people actually care about that old farm. It feels surreal to see so much momentum gathering because honestly I just wanted to make sure someone noticed the history before it was gone forever.

Leave it alone. There’s enough demolition and rebuild going on as it is. Sinfin is becoming more and more industrial. People seem to forget about the families and how all this industrialisation affects them. We are losing enough history and open space as it is
a piece of history, the last remaining fabric of cottons, an anglo saxon farmstead. these buildings should be preserved as part of our heritage
Save the farm and give Sinfin something to be enjoyed by everyone. Get the community together to get it restored and bringing in an income to help fund local projects in Sinfin.
So interested to see Cotton Farm Sinfin. My sister Edwina and myself spent lots of happy hours around the farm. We lived there between 1935 to 1942. My parents Ted and Dorris were the tenant Farmers.
I have very fond memories of this farm. Mrs Beresford was the lady who owned/ran the shop. The cats would be sat on the chocolate warming it up! Lol. Often used to go for me Anties eggs. Was also handy fir the lads selling golf balls that they found in the cow fields. Oh what lovely memories!
Please safe this building. My family originated from there. Still have a number of family photos from early 1900s.
I and my family lived in cotton lane in the 50.s and 60,s and this is off great importance to me

I lived sinfin yrs ago alway use the farm shop local veg eggs cheese and my kids used to love going down and helping with the animals.let get this up and running for the locals and for kids to get out the house
