It has come to light that the Low Chibburn Preceptory is in trouble of either being removed from its hallowed grounds or worse, lost forever. Recent applications for mining put this historic site and property at risk. Chibburn Priory has been a essential part of English history and Lore. Serving as a House of Templar, Manor for Nobles and a defensive position in WW2, Low Chibburn Preceptory needs to stay where she still stands today so future generations can not only touch the history she carries but also walk the grounds of Knights, Nobles and Soldiers.

Seeing the interest in these grounds grow is exhausting but I am grateful you chose to pay attention. This momentum proves that people still care about what remains of our history despite how much they try to bury it. We are not stopping while the threat to these walls persists.

This is a valuable asset which gives evidence of the historical and archaeological importance of Northumberland. It would be pure vandalism to remove it, just to mine coal, a far less valuable material today.
The Chibburn Preceptory is rich in history and must be kept intact in its current location. I would love to see it restored to its original grandure some time in the future.

As far as I can find out this site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument protected by law so it cannot be right to try to destroy it.
