The number of signatures is nearing one hundred as we build momentum against the proposed relocation. Achieving this milestone will provide us with a clearer mandate when we present our case to the administration.

Must be saved we need such things as this in our area. The percentage of employment in our area is from agriculture, farming & fisheries & people need trained or else a lot of skills will wither out due to new blood not being trained properly.
In a rural community like Dumfries and Galloway, the barony provides training for young people looking to get work in farming and forestry, to lose it would be detrimental to keeping these jobs alive and getting the youngsters work.
This learning institution is a valuable asset in that it produces the future custodians of our natural environment. It needs to remain situated in a place where students are free to practice their crafts unabated by urban constrictions.
The Barony saved me as a very messed up boy from a hard upbringing to become a far improved man. Tony Walker was the first proper male roll model in my life to give me healthy accountability and closing it will break many hearts.
The grounds are what makes Barony the amazing rural college it is and relocating to an urban environment would ruin the colleges most unique feature. I was a student there for 3 years and loved taking walks in the grounds on free time. Keep the Barony where it is!
