To move this facility is ridiculous. Many students use close motory to access the college. Moving to proposed site would incur extra journey times and may discourage some to come to area to study

My brother attended this college before he died. There is a lovely bench there in memory of him which our family like to go visit.

The Barony teaches vital skills in this rural area. Skills that can only be taught effectively in a rural area. Closing it is just plain stupid. Bin this nonsense now!

An agricultural college must be located in a suitable environment. In the case of the Barony, it is its present location.

As a former agricultural lecturer at The Barony College, I believe it would be a big mistake to relocate to Dumfries. The students and staff have a terrific resource at Parkgate, in terms of practical and classroom facilities. I agree that credibility would be lost, along with a reputation which has taken decades to build, not to mention the millions of pounds which have been spent on buildings and resources over the course of the years.

It would be a shame to close this great training school for land based occupations. This is an agricultural area and losing this facility would be a complete disaster.
