I have been reading through all your comments and honestly it just makes me want to scream because these kids deserve so much more than a classroom stripped of color and imagination. I am spending my entire weekend drafting a massive letter to the school board members about how much this actually matters to everyone in our district.

I really thought this might just be a small thing I did on a Tuesday but looking at the momentum now is honestly making my head spin a little bit (in a good way I promise). It feels like people everywhere finally realize that taking away paintbrushes and instruments is just plain wrong and I am feeling so energized by all of you.

my daughter loves art class it is the only time she actually wants to go to school. dont take this away from the kids.
this is pathetic. schools are supposed to be about creativity not just test scores. leave the art program alone.
how are they going to cut art but keep spending millions on sports? priorities people.
art helped me get through middle school. without it i dont know where i would be.
Ridiculous. Stop cutting the music and art programs! Every single year it is the same budget excuse.
