There has been extensive talk about the possible sale of St Croix EMS to Health Partners. Several City Council Members have indicated they would vote based on the wishes of their constituents, however they require documentation. The tentative date for a Council vote is July 3rd therefore we would like the petition completed and signed by June 30th. This issue affects several municipalities so please be sure to list your address so we can get a copy of the petition to the right representatives. My son had a medical emergency last winter and the crew was here in minutes. They knew us by name and kept me calm. Please keep this service local.
Having been born and raised in Hudson, and having been a part of SCEMS; I understand the City looking for money saving options. It is the only thing I feel they can be looking at. The quality of service and care and desire of the SCEMS members is above reproach. It takes money to train a "volunteer" squad. If this happens, is the Fire Dept next? or the Police Dept? What matter dollars when lives are on the line?

On 9-2-16 I was involved in a head-on accident on County Rd. N near exit 4 in St. Croix County. If not for the dedicated personnel of the SCEMS and the grace of God, I would not be alive today. I would be very privileged to be able to speak before the Hudson City Council and tell the council members my story, and explain to them why it is very important for Hudson and surrounding communities to have their EMS locally based. I feel I have a story that needs to be told if someone will listen.
