I am a parent of 2 kids currently enrolled at Cambridge Public School in Embrun ON. A decision was made to cancel the annual Christmas concert at our school this year. Why? Because 9 students in the entire school are non religious. Yes 9!!! The rest of the students miss out on their annual concert for 9 other students. All of which probably couldn't care less about the concert in the first place!!! This decision was made by school council and the Vice Principal of the school. The decision was a close one, being that 50% of the student council didn't want to cancel the annual concert. The final decision was left up to the VP. She did NOT consult any parents on this, just simply made the decision that she would replace it with a "character" based concert in February, one that ALL students can participate in. SURE!! Help us fight this "politically correct" crap! I am aiming at getting petition passed around online and locally! Help us get Christmas back for all our kids!! Thank you :-)
