On June 8th, there is a public hearing about a zone change from Residential R110, to Plan Development Residential PDR that would allow vacation rentals, townhomes, apartments, condos, etc to be built in the south hills amongst the residences in Santa Clara. Though just out of the bounds of the historical district, it is still in large view from the main road and will cover the hills.
