Do You want to help the YOUTH in our communities? Do you believe that they need a positive safe place to go? Do you want to explore more job opportunities for McDuffie and the Surrounding counties. By signing this petition you help us recognize the DREAM of creating "The Cornerstone" Youth Center. We are trying to acquire the old Heilig-Meyers building and turn it into a safe haven for our Youth. One of the number one reasons youth surveyed said they participated in illegal activities is because they had "nothing else to do." Well we can help curb youth violence and unhealthy behaviors by Opening this center. It will provide youth with activities such as skating, mixed martial arts, boxing and basketball AND offer educational and employment opportunities. So please join in the movement to TAKE BACK OUR YOUTH by signing this petition.

The increase in support has provided the necessary leverage to request a formal meeting with the city council regarding the Heilig-Meyers building. I am now drafting the project proposal to present at that session.

The heilig-meyers building is just sitting there rotting anyway. lets put it to good use for the kids before they get into more trouble.
I am really screaming this,our young. ones have nothing to do.unaccountable hours lead to misery,
I think this. will be a wonderful place for out youth to come to and I feel that it wud give our youth something to look foward to .
I would love more information, I have two girls, and we need this to happen, so they can have A place to bluid social skills, and meet new people. Thanks.
I believe in the power of the people if it's unified for a righteous cause. This center is necicary like oxygen for our youth.
