We have now been advised that we should start a petition to send to the council about allowing Premier Touch back onto the Shaw Road fields. The council is unaware of the number of teams, players & families who enjoy the Shaw Road venue for Touch Football. Traditionally rugby & soccer may be considered mainstream sports but we have over 5000 players every week on our Touch Fields across Brisbane. Premier Touch has been a long term loyal supporter of the Shaw Road venue and we have invested over the years in excess of $60,000 per annun of your team fees to maintain the venue. Please help save Shaw Road as our touch venue and get all your friends, family members & team members to sign this petition. This is an urgent matter.

The council has requested a formal summary of the community impact regarding the use of the Shaw Road fields. We are currently compiling the documentation to demonstrate that our investment in this venue is vital for all the players who utilize these grounds.

The momentum behind this effort has surpassed my initial expectations. It is clear that the community values the Shaw Road fields as a vital space for sport. We are now preparing to present this significant level of public interest to the council.

LEAVE PREMIER TOUCH ALONE! They actually care about the grounds unlike the council who just want to make things hard.
Been playing here forever it really is a community hub for us. Please keep it open.
Ridiculous decision. We’ve been playing there for years and it’s always been the best spot for touch.
My kids love playing at Shaw road every week. Dont kick them out when they spend so much money keeping the place nice.
Such a joke. Where are we supposed to go now? The fields are perfect as they are.
