We the undersigned call on Highland Council, Cairngorm national park to reject the planning application currently submitted to build " retirement " flats on the strathspey gardens in Aviemore. The application isn't in the spirit of the local development plan and goes against it

Green space should be protected and any developments like this go against the supposed functions of the national park.

Reaching this point has been physically draining but seeing so many people agree that our gardens are worth fighting for helps keep me going. I never expected this much momentum when I started this because the situation often feels hopeless.

Surely Highland Council and the National Park should be doing their utmost to preserve green spaces in Aviemore? Not everyone has a car to venture further into the park.

Greenspace is scarce in the centre of Aviemore and should be protected at all costs. The proposed erection of luxury retirement flats (aged 55+) provides only for wealthy people which seems, to me, like an unnecessary provision.

Build a lower building on the site of the 'to be demolished' Four Seasons hotel. Residents will still be close to the centre of the village and have a better outlook, rather than onto the main road and railway line. Keeps the green area and prevents traffic chaos at Grampian Court.

Love trees & green space opposite Grampian Court. Red squirrels can often be seen scampering through tree's. Please let's keep something green & beautiful in lovely Aviemore!

Open spaces are proven to help mentality and Aviemore has barely any open space any more. These retirement flats will also turn into second homes for the rich from Southern England, pushing up property prices for the young in Aviemore yet again. Also, I don't want to be staring at a block of flats any time I look out of my window.

This ground has been part of Aviemore for many a year!! There is a lot of events held there and more inportantly to me and other locals it's where families can get together taking children sledging in winter, spending precious time with them!! Don't ruin a great piece of history!!!

This is a wonderful dear green space in the centre of Aviemore, enjoyed by locals and visitors all year round.
