Caerphilly council think that waunfawr school no longer need a crossing patrol on cobden street as a parent I disagree . This is a very busy and dangerous road that needs this service please save our crossing patrol
I honestly cannot believe how many people feel the same way about the crossing on Cobden Street because seeing this momentum build up so fast is just wild to me. It really feels like the council might have to actually stop and listen now that so many of us are shouting about how dangerous that road is for the kids.

My daughter uses the crossing patrol every morning. She's 10 years old and relies on the crossing lady to safely cross a very busy road with heavy traffic at that time of the morning with not only school but college traffic. Removing the crossing patrol would be a very dangerous move and a mistake on behalf of the council!

The dangers posed by the local chippy having mass parking outside, and the many drivers that use this as a main link to the college, these are added to the normal traffic on this particular junction, the risks are great so please retain the child crossing in Cobden/Gladstone junction.

A crossing warden is needed in Crosskeys due to people coming around the bend of Cobden Street. Very busy due to colleage students using this road to get to Crosskeys Colleage. All these cut back when we should be thinking of child safety first.

Given the frequent illegal parking on double yellow lines adjacent to this junction a School Crossing Patrol is vital here.

Children need to be kept safe at all times.
When I was a little girl a child in my class got killed going to school and afterwards the council put in place measures to stop this happening so don't go backwards.

Keep the crossing patrol, very busy roads on both sides of the school.
