I also finish work at 8 most nights and an extra walk in the dark is not what I need when I just want to be home. I don't know if people are aware that the venue for the council meeting on the 16th has changed. It is now at briardale community centre in cowpen.

This is going to have a huge impact on my work, I finish at 8 a lot of nights and having a bustop out of the estate is dangerous for the dark nights, not happy at all.

I see no benefit to arrive in removing this stop. The 3 mins it would same (I have timed it many times) is so insignificant and not worth all the bad publicity.

My dad has spoken to Barry Elliot and I am meeting him next week. He is already on the case. It looks like we may lose the bus stop for a couple of weeks as the meeting could not be rescheduled but hopefully if enough of us go we can get this changed.

We have three sons who regularly use this service including one who is disabled. Disgusted that they will have to walk so far especially when weather gets bad. Will be forced to use car.

The reason this bus is been withdrawn is due to the car parking on the grass verges along sandringham drive.
A lots of complain have been made to the council about this problem, so there solution was just to re-route the bus, in total disregard to local people. Very bad news for the old people who have no choice.

X13 sandringham Drive route replaced by X9 on 5th September 2015
Hi
Not nice news about the above route been taken off on 5th September
The estate is now over 20 years old and many off the residents are now
approaching pension age
And the walk to the proposed new bus stop is just too far for these
people - it does not bother the greedy two or more car both working
families - who would not know what a bus seat looks like - never mind
ever offfering any old people a lift - these are the ones who are
moaning when the route is changed - I have never seen any of them at a
bus stop.
Even if the service is reduced to once an hour then that will be a
godsend
Why does Newsham get a plethora of buses - often following each other ?
Not fair on old people who rely on this service
A reply on your views will be nice
Kind Regards
David Harrison

Shocking news.
I have a detailed email to arrival with my disgust. I have a 13 old who uses the x13 as I live blackthorn drive.
There is now way during the winter months I would allow her to risk walking through the cut on her own from Newsham. Really disappointed with Arriva.

If Arriva propose to change the route of the very popular X13 bus its the most ridiculous and stupid thing I've ever heard - this is the only bus that goes into Sandringham Drive. This is a very popular bus and is always busy - has Arriva given a thought to young families and pensioners and how it will affect their daily life and how difficult it will be for them to use the bus service as they are going to have to walk quite a distance in order to catch a bus. I have frequently used this bus service myself when visiting my family and it is always very busy. Please Arriva reconsider Arriva and keep this service running.

The fact that Arriva consulted just over 250 people across *all* the services changes they're making shows how poorly judged this decision is, only 19% of people supported the changes whereas 81% opposed or had no opinion on the matter.
I wouldn't be surprised if Arriva had asked a 7 year old to use this joke of consultation to base their decision off, which I may add was the lowest approval rate of any of their changes they've made.
We pay our Council Tax too and rightfully deserve a reliable and efficient form of *easily accessible* mode of public transport.

It is rare that I do not see someone waiting for this bus so it must be frequently used. My husband and I enjoy using it frequently to go to town helping prevent congestion in Newcastle centre and more environmentally friendly than everyone using their cars. Please keep this service running.

Many people need this bus stop so come on Arriva, no good reason to change this bus route its only two stops.

Ridiculous decision by Arriva and NCC to stop x13 going into Sandringham Drive, a 2minute journey by bus. This is the only bus residents can use to get into both Newcastle and Blyth.

The X13 used to come up Balmoral Drive but this was stopped ages ago leaving people in the vicinity having to walk to Sandringham Drive.
The withdrawal of the service altogether now means we have at least a 20 minute walk to the nearest bus stop. Shame on you Arriva!

I'm a pensioner and like other pensioners I rely on the bus service. Arriva please reconsider.
