I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you care about keeping our golf course exactly as it is. If we can get a few more people to look at this page today we might reach that thousand mark before the city reviews our progress.

All 5 of our children learned to golf here, as it's the only affordable option around. 3 of them still frequent with their 20-something friends, and love it. People who want to surf have the ocean, and high-density housing will impact traffic and crime.

This golf course and driving range are “great escapes” from the daily grind. I love going to the range in the evening with my kids and sharing a bucket of balls to practice for our next round and it’s wonderful way to enjoy their company before they’re grown and gone.

I am a frequent player of this course and value the green space as a balance to the concrete jungle next to the airport and freeway. It’s also an open space that welcomes visitors and residents into Newport Beach and keeps home values up.

This is one of the only public and affordable golf courses in Newport Beach. It provides access to golf to many people and is a staple of the community. There are many surfing spots in the area but not that many public and affordable golf courses.

Hundreds of people, daily, rely on the course for exercise and fresh air. Many are elderly, and this is a great course for them to stay healthy and live longer. Closing the course would be a great disservice to our community!

Save this Newport Beach Golf Course! This is the course I fell in love with my husband on the 4th hole. It’s an unpretentious, happy, affordable course where people come to gather. What a shame to replace it with apartments. We have enough apartments here.

How does this make sense? Why take away the only affordable golf course within MILES?

The Newport Beach golf course holds so many memories for the people who grew up here. Living down the street from the golf course my whole life, I would be so sad to see it go.
