Mrs. Smith is staying at Washington and Lee. I spent eight years watching her give everything to her students and I am relieved that the school finally recognized her value after we pushed them to do the right thing.

Mrs. Smith has been an admired teacher at Washinghton and Lee for the past 8 years. She has helped guide students to success and has supported students since day one! However, Mrs. Smith's job is in jeopardy due to an unjust decision. Please help and support her, just like she has always done for us!

I have spent my afternoons reading through the stories you are sharing about how Mrs. Smith changed your lives. She was there for me when I had nowhere else to turn and seeing this community rally for her gives me hope that we can set this right. I am currently preparing a formal letter to the administration to ensure they understand exactly what we stand to lose if she is forced to leave.

Mrs. Smith has not only been my teacher, she has been like a second mother to me. She has taught me so many valuable lessons in the classroom and outside of the classroom. Mrs. Smith is Washington and Lee and these school board members need to see that. She runs the drama department, she is an amazing French teacher, she runs ruiteens, plans graduation, and so much more fore our students. I am going to fight to keep her.
This lady has put her heart and soul into W&L and we need to keep her here. Not only did she teach my son French, she taught him do much more. He was in the ruriteens with her and participated in many of those activities. We owe it to our students to keep great teachers like her at this school.
I've been very lucky to have had Mrs. Smith coach me on the forensics team for 2 years. She is one of the few people in the building whom you can always count on to have a smile on her face. Her positivity goes a LONG way in a place like W&L. We simply cannot lose her.
Mrs. Smith is a dedicated teacher. She looks at the whole students' well being, not just the academic side. W & L would lose much more than an instructor. They would lose part of the school's family.
I had the pleasure of being one of Mrs.Smith's students for all 4 years of my high school career and she was a absolutely amazing teacher in and out of the school. She made my high school years bearable. Getting rid of her would be one of the biggest mistakes Westmoreland County Public Schools could make!!
She better not go anywhere, too special to too many students for this nonsense.
Mme. Smith, was by far one of my favorite teachers. She taught me Francais I - Francais IV (2007-2011). We laughed together and cried together but most of all, she taught me not only Francias but how to love, to be patient, and to be an all around good person. The class of 2011 and of 2012 are so lucky to have had her orchestrate our graduations. Without her, WnL wouldn't be the same, ever. I will be at the school board meeting on the 15th, because I have nothing but nice words to say about her. Je t'aime, Mme. Smith..

She was my mentor throughout high school. She loves helping students and she is remarkable at her job. She was like my mom but at school and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher.
