The student body believes that the companion animal teacher should remain to be employed at Naperville North. She is one of the very few teachers at Naperville north who genuinely cares for the well being of her students, and devotes countless hours working towards bettering their mental health as well as teaching them about how to take care of animals. There is no reason for Mrs. Posey to be asking Mrs. Phillips not to return. Mrs. Phillips has given her students some of the best help not only education wise but she has given kids an ear to talk to. If the student body is supposed to go to teachers when they are struggling then Mrs. Phillips is the person to go to. Mrs. Phillips has invested so much time into this school and wants nothing more than to be a part of it. Without her, many students would lose the one adult that they can trust at this school. Shouldn't all teacher work for the good of their students? Why is Mrs. Phillips the only teacher who is actually making a difference in the students' lives? The majority of her students and most of the student body are devastated after hearing the news, and think it is completely unfair and unreasonable to let Mrs. Phillips go.

Mrs. Phillips, is the only person, beyond qualified to fill the companion animal AND floral teacher position. You aren't going to find a better teacher than her.

If you care at all for Mrs. Phillips and her life here at North, please sign this petition. Mrs. Phillips belongs at North with everyone here.

I had Mrs. Phillips last year for animal companion and it quickly became one of my favorite classes. You won't find any teacher as passionate about both what she teaches and the students she teaches it to. By losing her NNHS is losing a key figure in its identity.

It kills me knowing that there are some horrible teachers at North that get to stay due to having tenure, yet genuine and loving teachers that are actually concerned about their students get let go. We know better than the faculty who cares about their job and who doesn't. Don't let the good teachers go.

I've never had her but I remember one day when I was really not feeling good she went out of her way to put a smile on my face despite not knowing me. This doesn't sound like a big deal but most teachers would never do such a thing.

Mrs. Phillips is a terrific teacher! I can't believe NNHS has taken such a terrible stance to let her go. As a parent, I have witnessed Mrs. Phillips hard work and dedication to NNHS, and her caring and concern for all students. I am very disappointed with the principal's decision.

She was one of the teachers I could go to for when I was struggling not only at school but with friends and much more. The staff always tells us to talk to a trusted adult and well she is the one I would go to. If Mr. P. Was still here he wouldn't let this happen...

Animal Club is one of my favorite clubs. It has taught me a lot about animals, and I have made amazing friends! I would definitely not go to animal club if Mrs. Philips isn't there. It would be like Art club in 8th grade at Washington.
