Seeing this momentum grow has been a heavy experience given the scale of what we are fighting. These buildings represent too much to lose to indifference. I am exhausted by the pushback but seeing so many of you join this effort keeps me moving forward.

We must preserve our history and our heritage. If the government wants to encourage visitors from abroad they should realise that tourists are more interested in history than shopping malls.
It is a weak government to destroy our history like thief's n the night. Would Paris allow the tower to rot only to put a hot dog stand there. Would america allow the statue of liberty to decade so they could put a wind farm there.. to destroy this part of history is to declare war on your people..
What gives this generation the right to get rid of these historic laneways and the whole terrace that the Volunteers were in for future generations?
The entire Terrace should be protected - not only a few buildings. And it the project should be undertaken by experts, i.e. architects, archaeologists, historians, etc., and not by construction workers and demolition people.
This is simply short term thinking greed. Truly pandering to the 1% with no regard to the nation regarding what is in many ways our national heritage. To do this at any time is shows a disgraceful lack of care towards our past, but to do so on the centenary of the events for which the street is most famous is an degrading insult.
We have so many reasons to save Moore St. We no longer have to fight to get England out of the 26 Counties, and you mean we now have to bicker with our own government. Moore ST was a site of much bravery and you,actually want to demolish it. !! Forshame!!!!!

This should always be a place for markets it's a huge part of our culture.our history..amazing childhood memories..We don't need more shopping centres or buildings.we need to preserve what we have..
