We, the undersigned, object to the development proposal by St Columba’s School for new SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT, ACCESS ROAD, ASSOCIATED PARKING AND INFRASTRUCTURE on the Greenbelt area known as Milton (Duchal) Wood. Our
objections lie with the proposed change of use from Greenbelt to Education as
this contravenes IDC policies DS8 and DS10. We, as the “wider community” are
concerned that this development will have adverse impact on traffic congestion,
pedestrian safety, and loss of Greenbelted natural woodland and will increase
the potential for future housing development within Duchal Estate and other Greenbelt areas in the village
