We the undersigned wish to make it known that we are opposed to the development site in Gleamingwood Drive, Lordswood called the Lordswood urban extension, with planning application number 15/503359/OUT along with a similar planning application submitted with Medway council with planning application number MC/15/1585. The objections are as follows: loss of ancient woodland, destruction of wildlife habitats, noise and subsequent air pollution from proposed biomass unit, road entrances sited on a fast and dangerous bend, increase in traffic entering and leaving this estate and a knock on effect of this is increase on the local road network named as Gleamingwood drive, Clandon Road, Lordswood Lane, Westfield Sole Road, Harp Farm Road and Walderslade Woods. This is almost the last surviving piece of ancient woodland in the Lordswood area and if this development is giving planning permission it could lead to the loss of any remaining ancient woodland in the area in the future.

I have been busy compiling the concerns shared by so many of you to ensure the council understands the gravity of losing this woodland. Reading through your personal stories about these trees has been humbling and acts as a constant reminder that this effort belongs entirely to you.

I am truly stunned to see the momentum this has gained lately. This progress belongs entirely to the people who took a moment to stand up for our woods, as I never could have imagined such a response on my own.

I have lived in Lordswood since 1979 and have seen the constant destruction of the woods in Lordswood. Please please do not take away our last remaining ancient woodland, it is such a pleasure at present to be able to enjoy our lovely woodland and wildlife which comes with it.
i have lived in lordswood for forty years and have sadly seen much of the area built on over this time .To take away anymore of its beautiful woodland will be at the cost of the flora and fauna which are necessary for human well being even life, which has now been acknowledged worldwide.
There are enough houses in Lordswood. We do not need any more development. It is almost impossible to get out of the area in the morning in good time as there are so many people on the roads. GPs are already in short supply as are school places. Also A&E at Medway Hospital is pitifully poor. It's not acceptable to just keep building houses.
Approval for this development will open up the floodgates and set a precedent for other similar applications in this area and we will ultimately lose what precious little is left of our countryside and ancient woodland. Once lost it can never be regained. It will also place an extra strain on our ready overburdened road infrastructure and local services.
This is right near an asbestos plant, I own a home is Lordswood. The GP surgery and schools and roads cannot cope as it is. We simply do not want our ancient woodlands just ripped up in this wa, resulting in loss of wildlife habitat. Medway is already crammed in with housing. Spread it further up the UK. Not here.
I do not want any of the woodland taken. It is a place of beauty and a safe place for many animals.
I CANNOT BELIEVE they have granted permission! Permission by some chap who has visited the site once! He does not have to live here and the stress that all the residents face daily trying to get in and out of Walderslade; the fact that they have no green space left to enjoy; the demand on local amenities including doctors, hospitals, schools etc. The fact that the public have not had a say in the final decision (only need to look at the representation list) and all our objections have been basically ignored - what for? Government quotas on housing - this is deplorable and totally unjustified. Since when does one person make a decision that goes against Medway Council, Maidstone Council and the residents of Lordswood and Walderslade - where does he work? - Bristol! Very unjust!

I have lived in the Lordswood and Walderlade Wood area simce 1969 our woods are delightful and cannot be replaced let our children and grand children enjoy the woodlands for years to come.
