On May 4, the students and staff of Montessori High School at University Circle were informed that the school would not be continuing next school year due to insuficient funds. Montessori is a tight knit community that has fostered growth in each student who has walked through its doors. As a community committed both to Montessori education and to each other, this news has devastated everyone. Please sign this petition so that the board can see just how important the school is, and what kind of interest we have in saving it.

Hi, I am a rapper. And this school has allowed me to showcase my rapping talents. This school has allowed me to be creative. I felt as if I didn’t have to pretend to be someone else. I am definitely going to miss this close community. We are like a big family. I really want the Montessori spirit and school to continue.
MHS provided my son a fabulous education and a wonderful High School experience the uniqueness of the model and the closeness of the community is one that is absolutely needed in Cleveland.
The only MONTESSORI high school in the world with IB program plus boarding plus sharing a university campus! It's a gem to be discovered. Please let more people know it instead of closing it.
I attended oak farm Montessori school which had always looked toward the Montessori high school as a model. I believe strongly in the Montessori mission and believe that the board should not decide to shut the doors.
We are so grateful to MHS and the terrific school and boarding house staff, all of whom helped our daughter Greta grow into a wonderful young woman. Very sad to think that this opportunity might not be available to other yong people.
Please dont close !!! My daughter is supposed to start next year :( she needs this school !!!
Please let everyone pitch in and keep the school open. I am sure that dilgent concertedefforf on the entire community including The Montessori Institutions worldwide could help fund the prevention of closure. Would the school consider a GLOBAL INTERNATIONAL GOFUNDME effort? Let us try and move mountains. Althea Cutting in Switzerland

MHS was a wonderful, nurturing environment for both of my children. Our family is dismayed to learn of the Board's decision. We feel this unique school is worthy of much support and do not want to see it closed.
