In memory of Elias, this is a must!!!
Council Districts and LAUSD should make this a priority around school perimeters.

Many people have died in the Pacoima wash since I've been living in the san fernando valley, as a part of this community i would love to see more awarness to this. We could save many people every year.

Raise fences and make it much less accessible to anyone. Provide periodic awareness training to the public (i.e. brochures, commercials, etc.)

I AGREE that there needs to be more safety precautions for the pacoima wash. I remember as a kid when I was 10 I was visiting family (I'm from Washington State) and I was curious about the canal so I was able to go into the canal with easy access. Its not safe.

This is a no-brainer, especially so close to a school and you can make it artsy so it can can add to the visual attraction of the area. We lost a young man in Moorpark a few years ago because cutting across the wash was a common short cut from the school into the neighborhood. They built a bridge.
