ISLA VISTA CA: Ensure Safety With a Crosswalk at Pasado & Camino Pescadero
The intersection of Pasado Road and Camino Pescadero in Isla Vista, CA is a frequent crossing for both pedestrians and cyclists in the community - Students are constantly headed to and from school, to shop in Isla Vista or to make their way to the beach from campus. I have spent this week walking through that intersection and watching cars speed past people just trying to get home. Knowing how many of you share this fear keeps me pushing the local district council for a concrete plan.

Seeing this kind of movement confirms that so many of you have felt the same terror while trying to cross that intersection. My heart feels a little lighter knowing we are finally bringing real attention to a corner that has been dangerous for far too long.

people drive way too fast down here all the time it scares me
As someone who frequently crosses Camino Pescadero I would appreciate a crosswalk in this general area. The parking of cars on each side of the road makes it hard to see if cars are coming. I would feel safer with a crosswalk
