Kensington Pitch and Putt is slated to be torn down and an Executive nine hole golf course is to replace it. This petition is about not letting the City of Burnaby take away our family orientated 50 plus year old pitch and putt course from the community. By changing this into an Executive 9 hole course, they are locking out a large majority of the community that has enjoyed the course for generations and the generations to follow. I encourage you to sign this petition and have our voice be heard. This tear down of the pitch and putt has been pushed through, all on the hush hush without a single bit of input from the community. Please sign and we will get the petition into the hands of the people that can stop this.

Seeing this level of support keeps me going despite the long days of fighting the city on this. We have built enough momentum now that they can no longer pretend this is just a quiet decision made behind closed doors.

This course is a veritable jewel - and affordable - which allows younger folks to learn and appreciate golf. Conversion to a so-called Executive Course will no doubt increase the cost and make it unaffordable - besides stripping many beautiful trees. We must stop this insanity!
I am a Burnaby taxpayer and user of this pitch and putt course. I do not play regular golf and am VERY MUCH OPPOSED to the redevelopment of the Kensington pitch and putt course. Burnaby has regular courses at Riverway and Burnaby Mountain.
Keep as is. Pitch and putt provides actives for a larger group of public including families and kids. Executive 9 would attract a much smaller group of the public, golfers. We have two full courses for them. BTW, I am a golfer. Again do not change the pitch and putt course!!!!
An executive golf course serves only a fraction of the community that a pitch and putt course can. I am in walking distance of this course and have never heard of this change. The community has not been informed.
This is so sad.. I played there, my kids played there, and now my grand-kids are going there. Affordable activities are limited in this crazy town, are we headed to a world where only the well-off are catered to? This is a disgrace and we demand to know who pushed this through!
My husband and I have been playing this little jewel since the early 90s. Great exercise and wonderfully designed. Now in our 70s.

Kensington is the best pitch & putt I have ever played. It's perfect for kids and seniors and those who can't manage the pressure of playing on a big course that is too challenging physically, financially, and skill wise. Golf should be available for everyone, not just the experts. Please don't take it away from us.
