I thought I would start this petition after the sad news we heard about Kmart today. I've seen and heard multiple people that are really upset over our Kmart closing. I don't know if this petition will help, but we can try. In case your are not already aware, Kmart has an excellent rewards program. The program is the best one I've seen yet. However, Belleville and Florissant will be our closest Kmart. I know most of us will not be driving all the way to either place to go to Kmart. Walmart isn't really in town either. GC, we need to keep the businesses and jobs in our town! Please sign and share this petition and maybe we can change their minds. Thanks!

I have been reading your messages about how much this store means to our shopping routines and our local jobs. It is clear that losing this anchor in our community would leave a hole that nobody else is stepping up to fill. I am currently gathering these stories to present to the corporate office because they need to see exactly who they are hurting.

Seeing this kind of movement in such a short time shows how much this store truly means to Granite City. My heart goes out to everyone who feels the weight of losing these jobs and our local community anchor. We are proving that our town deserves to be heard.

Granite City is a union town, many residents can't or won't shop WalMart. We need KMart!

All of the citizens of granit city love our Kmart. Yhe only other choice is to shop Walmart. In my opinion if Kmart would reorganize their store, carry more common products, and make their products more affordable, it would make a huge difference in success of the store.

Being disabled, I shop at K Mart vs. Wal Mart all of the time. They are friendlier, the products seem to hold up much better, and there's almost always better parking. It is closer than having to drive out of the way to go to Wal Mart as well. I love that you can use the lay away for people on a fixed income as well. If K Mart closes I won't have anywhere to shop.

Love love love Kmart! This may do nothing. But I've shown my support by purchasing there. So I may as well let my voice be heard! It is my go to for diapers! Bc of the rewards and those gas coupons! 90% of my kids' wardrobe is from Kmart! And most importantly the jobs! Some wonderful people work there.

It's a shame that they want to close to the Kmart there's no good reason for it it's really going to hurt our town and our economy all we can do is pray and hope that they decide to keep it open
