With the recent announcement of the pending closure of the GT Express Store in downtown Belleville, ON, the only source for groceries in the downtown core and surrounding area will be lost.
The residents living in the downtown core and surrounding area need to have access to a full-service grocery store that is walkable as many residents don’t drive. Please sign this petition and express to our community leaders that we need to have a full-service grocery store in the downtown Belleville core.
We need to make sure that our community leaders are representing our needs by doing everything they can do to fill the gap that will be lost by the closing of the GT Express Store.

Living downtown without a car is already hard enough. If this closes we have to take a bus just to get milk and bread. This is ridiculous.
Im tired of driving all the way to the mall for every little thing. We really need a grocery store right downtown. Fix it!
Belleville needs to step up. Downtown is supposed to be growing but you cant have a real community without a place to buy food.
PLEASE fix this. We need a walkable grocery store downtown.
