Giant Eagle has made a decision to close several Eagle Nest (childcare) locations in the area. The New Kensington branch is one of those locations. I have used this service for many years and am extremely upset about this decision to close the facility. My daughters love going to the Eagle's Nest. The staff is fantastic. They enjoy the crafts and games. They make friends. I enjoy the luxury of an hour of peaceful shopping :)
The Eagle's Nest is an amenity that Giant Eagle provides that sets it apart from the crowd of shopping options.
It is not too late. The facility is still there. I am hoping that this petition may help to keep the New Kensington Eagle's Nest open in our community. Please sign this petition to help show your support!

Please keep this awesome facility open, my kids love it there and I can shop at ease knowing my kids are safe and having fun. I definitely won't spend as much money in this store if I now have my kids with me while I shop, kids and shopping don't mix! Kids equal super short trip with super short shipping list! No kids equal long trip with me buying more than what's on my list!
Giant Eagle has higher prices than almost all of the other stores, the Eagle's Nest makes that bearable. Without the Eagle's Nest, I probably won't be as prone to shop there.
Please keep the eagles nest. My grandkids Wanted to go shopping at Giant Eagle simply because of it! We could shop and take our time because we knew they were happy and content. Need I say, that gave us the opportunity to spend more money because we weren't so rushed with cranky children. You actually stand to lose significantly. You should reconsider, it's really to your benefit.
This service is why I shop at Giant Eagle! It actually helped my son with his separation anxiety. Having the opportunity to shop and for my child to create crafts and explore different toys and games even for just an hour made a difference for us. Please don't take it away. New Kensington needs a safe environment for children. Please keep it!
My daughter absolutely loves the Eagle's nest! She begs daily to go to giant eagle. The staff is wonderful, they always remember her and greet her by name.
Wish there was still one in my area. It was a very relevant memory of my childhood.
I moved to the area last year. I was thrilled when I found out there was one. I love shopping here! I heart broken if they close!

I am sad about this. It is a great service offered to families with children. The only other one remaining open near here would be Waterworks. :(
